Arpa a tre ordini di corde in budello (liutaio Enzo Laurenti)

In the harp sector we learn from the documents of the seventeenth century that, apart from the normally twisted strings for the higher and middle registers, for the bass one Cordoncini and Cordoni were used (from historical sources relating to the Roman strings; see: Patrizio BarbieriRoman and Neapolitan Gut Strings).

The considerable stress of the harp strings, however, makes it rather risky to use the lamb, for which, for the high and medium register (up to caliber 82), it is advisable to use Ritorte di Salle, made with particularly resistant bovine gut and excellent sound. For larger gauges I do not have sufficiently strong strings currently available.
The production of Silver Wound is currently suspended, which would be suitable for the harp basses of the 700-800 (Demi-filée, at least for harps with simple movement of the '700, or the Filate in silver on silk for harps of the nineteenth century).
