Posso consigliare i Cordoni di Roma a chi voglia veramente sentire come suonavano gli strumenti prima dell'invenzione delle corde filate, anche per sperimentarne i limiti teorici di formato dello strumento e le possibilità tecniche e virtuosistiche, ossia per esigenze specificamente filologiche. Tuttavia anche la qualità di suono è ottima, soprattutto, come dicevo, per le corde di transizione come il DO della viola da gamba.
